TikTok & Personality Content

When I joined the Harbor Hawks team, they did not have a TikTok account. In the growing popularity of the platform, I decided to create one to hopefully grow throughout the season. At Kansas State, I did more of the brainstorming/ideation of TikTok trends and relating them back to sports. Now, at Syracuse, I plan, film, and edit a lot of our personality content that goes out on TikTok and Instagram.

Mini Mic & QOTD

Question of the day videos/ mini-mic content has become very popular. Getting to hear athletes opinions and commentary on various topics gets the audience to feel like they know them on a personal level. There is a type of connection that begins to build, and I think it helps with team support. Making this content not only helps the athlete get comfortable in from of a camera, but also allows them to build a bond with their fan base.

Re-sizing Game Footage

Re-sizing live game footage was something I wanted to capitalize on. Not only posting these live clips to Twitter and Instagram, I believe big plays should also be posted on TikTok.

Get athletes involved

Being fast on your feet is important when creating content. Being quick to hand an athlete your phone after a big win, could be a great piece of content. Sometimes the video is great, other times it doesn’t work how you’d hoped.
